Which battle from the Seven Years War was more decisive and significant in setting the course of human history? The Battle of Quebec or the Battle of Plassey?
Battle of Plessy. England's victory gave them complete control over India's trade and marketing and established a British Rule in India that expanded throughout all of Asia. The war also made the British extremely wealthy because of the money they recieved after the battle, and from India.
I agree that the Battle of Plessy was more decisive and significant. India is a great resource for Britain at the time and to secure it means great power and money. But it was clearly more decisive for the shear odds of only losing 23 men and killing 1,000's is an unprecedented victory at the time.
The battle of Plessy because it made British so wealthy. Having complete control over India's trade gave the British a lot of power and a lot of money. The battle itself was also very impressive.
The battle of Plessy was more decisive than Quebec. India was a more desirable territory to control because of its resources. Anyone in control would profit significantly from it. The battle itself was very decisive for the British. They fought like a machine, quickly winning the fight. They only lost a few men even though they were outnumbered. In the end, they had control of a valuable territory, and showed off to the world their military power.
i think that the battle of plessy was more decisive because it gave england control over india and its resources and it made england a lot of money from india
The battle of Quebec was more decisive....NOT. I agree with everybody else, that the battle of Plessy was more decisive. It was more decisive because of the resources that India had, with India under their control, Britain made a huge profit.
I am in my fifth year as a Social Studies teacher at Coventry High School and I love my students and my subject. I received my BA in History from ECSU and will complete my MA in American History at CCSU this spring. My areas of focus are military history and modern terrorism, the Antebellum Era, and the Civil War.
